Cornwall has activities and adventures for everyone, so you’re sure to be spoilt for choice during your stay with us.

Here on the Lizard Peninsula, home to our treehouses, there are beautiful beaches and sandy coves to explore, gorgeous gardens to discover, pretty villages to fall for, as well as activities to fuel your sense of fun: including coasteering, sky diving, wild swimming and scuba diving.

Seasonal Suggestions

Autumn is a beautiful time to explore Cornwall. The summer crowds have eased, the countryside takes on rich seasonal colours and the coastline is at its wildest and most atmospheric. From woodland walks and gardens glowing with autumn colour to quiet beaches, harbour towns and crisp coastal adventures, there’s still plenty to discover. We recommend:

The Eden Project A great choice whatever the weather, with the biomes offering a warm escape on cooler autumn days.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan Autumn brings beautiful colour to the gardens, with plenty to explore across the woodland, gardens and estate.
St Michael’s Mount A quieter time to visit this iconic Cornish landmark. Check the tide times and take the causeway across when it’s open.
Trebah Garden The woodland paths are particularly lovely in autumn, with seasonal colour and plenty of shelter on wetter days.
Glendurgan Garden A wonderful autumn walk through woodland, gardens and the famous maze, with plenty of seasonal colour to enjoy.
Enys Garden A peaceful place to explore as the seasons change, with woodland, gardens and plenty of space to wander.
St Mawes via the passenger ferry Wrap up warm and make the journey across the Fal. St Mawes is lovely for a wander before stopping somewhere cosy for lunch.
Helford River walks and coves Autumn is made for exploring the Helford, with woodland trails, quiet coves and beautiful river views without the summer crowds.
Plenty of beaches to choose from You don’t need sunshine to enjoy the coast. Wrap up, take a flask and explore one of the many beaches around the Lizard Peninsula.
Kayaking or Canoeing on the Helford River The Helford can be wonderfully peaceful in autumn. On a calm day, get out on the water and see the river from a completely different perspective.
Walk a section of the South West Coast Path Autumn is a brilliant time for a coastal walk. Cooler temperatures make longer walks more comfortable, while the changing light, big skies and quieter paths make the coastline feel wonderfully wild.
