SKAYPA TREEHOUSE
Skaypa Treehouse takes escapism to a different level. Not only do you have vast Cornish skies overhead as you look up from your private balcony (set 4 metres above the ground), but you also have a canopy of mature oak, beech and ash trees before you, swaying in the breeze. This peaceful spot – set 30 metres away from Kalmynsi Treehouse – places you eye-level with the trees and brings woodpeckers, chiffchaffs, owls and bats into view at dawn and dusk.
Inside
Every inch of Skapya’s Nordic-inspired inside has been carefully kitted out to make your stay extra-luxe. There’s a Scandinavian-style kitchen with sleek black Neff induction hob and combi oven, a Ekol log burner with integrated oven and hotplate to cook on (logs, matches and kindling are provided), Bluetooth LP player, and Smart TV with superfast broadband and Wifi.
At the far end of Skapya, there’s a double bedroom, complete with a feather-soft double bed dressed in Chalk and Pink Linen Company linen and a glass door to your private balcony. There’s also a separate shower room with a drenching rainforest shower, heated towel rail, WC and basin where you can reinvigorate yourself with the organic local toiletries.
Outside
Like Kalmynsi Treehouse, Skapya Treehouse is set on a gentle hillside at the top of the pretty village of Gweek on the stunning Lizard Peninsula. It’s bordered by 3 acres of field – where we’ve begun to create a new 1-acre woodland – which you are free to explore. Alongside it – exclusive to Skapya – is your own secret clearing amongst the trees next to an ancient bluebell wood. Here you can soak under the stars in the log-fired Weltevree Dutch Loveseat hot tub, huddle together cooking marshmallows over the fire pit or watch the stars come out through the tree canopy above.
For such a prized location, you may expect Skapya to be tricky to get to – it’s not. Simply walk 60 metres along the gravel path from our offroad private car park and across a wooden walkway. There you’ll find Skapya’s small porch with a lantern, welly store and glass-fronted door. Unlock and step in – welcome to escapism, the Cornish way.

*Please note the hot tub is log heated and that depending on the ambient temperature it can take 1-2 hours to heat the water.
