DASKOR TREEHOUSE
Restore your calm at Daskor Treehouse. Daskor, Cornish for ‘restore’, was designed by Maddie’s Dad to blend into its surroundings. Partially sunk into the landscape and clad on all sides with UK grown Larch, it rises out of the ground like the new woodland surrounding it, and ends on the elevated balcony, itself crafted from locally grown Chestnut from just 10 miles away.
Inside
Like its sister spaces, Daskor’s serene interior reflects the long gentle curved design that is unique to Kosel Treehouses.
There’s an open-plan sleek kitchen fitted with integrated Samsung induction hob and a combi oven for you to cook up a tasty feast. And an intimate Scandi-inspired living space set around the freestanding Jotul woodburner with its sleek curves and extra-large fire view.
Stream movies on the Samsung ‘Frame’ TV or, if you want to escape technology, put it to ‘Art Mode’ to convert it to a famous Master Piece and sit back, go ‘old school’ and enjoy the LP player. Just in case you need to come back to reality there is superfast broadband and Wifi to drag you back to the 21st Century.
When bedtime calls, slip into the King size double beds – one at opposite ends of the treehouse and allow yourself to be encased in the naturally soft linen sheets from UK based Piglet in Bed. For those that need more room we have a full sized single bed also available in the second bedroom so we can accommodate up to 5 people in total.
In the morning head to the separate shower room and awaken your senses with the organic toiletries. The shower room is complete with a walk-in drenching rainforest shower, heated floor and towel rail, and super sleek WC and basin from Lusso Stone.
Outside
Daskor Treehouse is set 30 metres away from Kalmynsi on a gentle hillside. The treehouse is located in the new 1 acre woodland we started planting in 2022 and borders our 2-acre field, which you are free to explore and picnic in.
There is dedicated parking for 2 cars at the back of the treehouse.
As you enter you’ll see your very own balcony which is partially wrapped around by the building itself. The decking we are particularly pleased with having made it from local Chestnut timber that blew down in the storms of 2024 and was milled locally before making its way to Kosel – a great way to recycle.
On your own private deck you will find the outdoor stone bath to while away the evening enjoying your view of the treetops or enjoying morning breakfast or dinner in the adjacent seating.
Like the others, there is no difficult terrain to trudge through to get to Daskor Treehouse. Simply park in the designated parking spaces (room for 2 cars) at the rear of the treehouse. The entrance door is a few meters away via the short elevated wooden walkway which takes you up to Daskor’s small porch, a Tilley Lamp lantern, welly store and glass-fronted door. Turn the key, step inside, close the door on the real world and feel Daskaw’d.
